US FIRST Robotics Team20 Shenendehowa Team 20, The Rocketeers is a founding team of the US FIRST Robotics program. FIRST, "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology" is an engineering competition founded by Inventor Extraordinaire Dean Kaman. The Rocketeers is a well established group of students, engineers, teachers, and parents that have enjoyed a history of success at both the regional and national level. We are dedicated to promoting the FIRST mission: “to change the way young people regard science and technology and to inspire an appreciation for real-life rewards and career opportunities in these fields.” It is not just about building a Robot; team activities include publicity, fund raising, media arts, web design, animation, field construction, and programming.
